Α for Athens

This post is about the place I love, the place I was born and raised to.  ATHENS.

Athens is the capital and the biggest city of Greece. It’s one of the world’s oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning over 3,400 years, and its earliest human presence starting somewhere between the 11th and 7th millennia BC.

Athens is the place where Socrates, Platon and Aristoteles lived and taught! In ancient years, Athens was one of the most important culture centers from where arts and letters were born and started evolving.

I can’t express my feelings about this city cause whatever I say is so “little” to explain how I love Athens. Everyday I’m going to most of these places, everyday I visit Monastiraki square, I walk in Syntagma square, I watch Parthenon monument while I’m walking to my university but I’m always stunned by the aura, the feeling this city emits.

In the centre of Athens beats the heart of Greek people. You see people dancing, playing the guitar and singing, kids running happy, people going to their works, tourists taking photos. You walk along streets where you can find traditional shops with greek products, greek music, souvenirs.

I hope I gave you a small idea of how magnificent ATHENS is.
